I’ve been a librarian for more than 40 years now, and every year I learn something new about my job at a professional conference. These annual state, regional, or national gatherings are great opportunities for continuing education, professional and philosophical improvement, and personal networking. Over the years — as participant, planner, speaker, and even vendor — I’ve acquired lots of tips and techniques for getting the most out of a conference.
